How it works:
This package includes six scheduled specialist antenatal visits, four with a gynecologist and two with a midwife. During the first visit, a full antenatal screening is conducted, which includes tests for HIV, malaria, complete blood count, urinalysis, blood sugar, Hepatitis B, VDRL, and blood group. All laboratory tests and medications prescribed by the doctor during these six visits, related specifically to pregnancy, are covered. Additionally, the package provides iron sulphate/folic acid supplements throughout the pregnancy and includes three ultrasound scans.
Please note that the card does not cover non-pregnancy-related illnesses or chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, heart disease, renal disease, asthma, or sickle cell disease (SCD). The package is personalized and non-transferable. Access to services begins only after full payment has been made.
After delivery, the package includes one pediatric consultation for the newborn within two weeks and one gynecologist consultation for the mother within six weeks. Any additional services during these postnatal visits will be payable by the client. Delivery can be arranged at Kampala Hospital, Nsambya Hospital, or another agreed-upon facility at an additional cost.
