REPORTING TO: Clinical Operational Manager
Directly Supervises: Ambulance Nurse & Driver
Ensure that emergency rescue and training services are undertaken to the highest standards of quality.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Risk assessment for new and exist
High quality of rescue and emergency services
Ensure equipment is maintained at all times
Ensure a cost-effective level of service
To ensure customer retention and Business development within AAR Action
High quality of First Aid training
Provide leadership for the unit
Customer satisfaction
Generate budgeted revenue
Performance management
Triage and incident management
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Overseeing all the rescue activities and making sure that the laid down protocols and standards are met.
Continuous review and updating of service protocols.
Maintain duty rotas and appropriate staff allocation to the existing duties and shifts.
Controlling general expenses and resources
Raising and approving pro-forma invoices to accounts department
Putting in place controls to ensure that all revenues are fully accounted for and expenses are controlled effectively.
Contracting overseas Medical Assistant companies and preparing relevant dollar invoices
Follow up on debts, both local and overseas.
Appraising staff
Arranging for and carrying out interviews for new staff
Staff development in terms of training and overall efficiency at work
Organizing and chairing departmental meetings
Compiling and maintaining monthly rescue statistics
Keep the General Manager informed on all issues related to rescue and the department
Taking part in the design of Action products
Selling of all Action department products
Keeping inventory of all the equipment and assets
Approving staff locum claims and purchases in accordance with the delegated authority
KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
Ensure rescue response time
Ensure staff attends at least 1 CME within each level of emergency courses (BLS, ACLS, BTLF, ATLS and PALS)
Ensure that records of rescue activities are maintained and updated within a day of the rescue and that invoices are prepared within a day of completion of rescues.
Ensure that logs detailing status of equipment maintenance is in place and up-to date at all times.
Achieve revenue target
Targets for vehicles and staff costs are achieved
Responding to clients’ complaints within 48 hours of registering the complaints
Set Strategic direction for the unit
Providing Leadership for the unit
Achieve 90% Customer satisfaction rating
Achieve budgeted revenue and profitability targets
Unit and individual performance
Timely reporting and resolution of incidences
LEVEL OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Must have a Diploma in Nursing
A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing will be an added advantage
You must have attended training in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Advance
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
OTHER COMPETENCIES:
