The IT Infrastructure and Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the security and stability of an organization’s IT infrastructure. The officer will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure and security measures. The officer will also provide technical support to the organization’s employees to ensure the efficient and effective use of the company’s IT resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and storage systems.
Ensure the security and integrity of the company’s data, applications, and systems by designing and implementing appropriate security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
Monitor the organization’s IT systems and network for potential security breaches or vulnerabilities and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the availability of critical IT resources in the event of an outage or disaster.
Provide technical support to employees for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
Implement and manage IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop and conduct security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the timely delivery of IT services and support.
KEY DUTIES
1. Network
Monitor network traffic
Install and configure Servers, storage, firewalls, Aps, switches, and routers
Troubleshoot and repair when problems arise
Maintain and support the communications network server software and hardware
Perform backups of communications equipment, servers and communications hardware
Setup a functional Disaster Recovery site
2. Security
Analyzing and assessing vulnerabilities in the infrastructure (software, hardware, and networks)
Performing regular audits to ensure security practices are compliant.
Deploying endpoint detection and prevention tools to thwart malicious hacks.
Setting up patch management systems to update applications automatically.
Implementing comprehensive vulnerability management systems across all assets on-premises and in the cloud.
Designing new security systems or upgrading existing ones.
Identifying IT security weaknesses and implementing solutions.
Monitoring for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorized or illegal activity.
Testing and evaluate security products.
Identifying potential weaknesses and implement measures, such as firewalls and encryption.
Monitoring identity and access management, including monitoring for abuse of permissions by authorized system users.
Liaising with stakeholders in relation to IT security issues and provides future recommendations.
Generating reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders.
Maintaining an IT risk register
Monitoring and responding to ‘phishing’ emails and ‘pharming’ activity.
Assisting with the creation, maintenance and delivery of cyber security awareness training for colleagues.
Ensuring regular DR tests are done and results properly documented.
3. Troubleshoot hardware systems and perform backups
Attend to all assigned incidents and provide a preventive maintenance report, analysis report, projection and recommendation reports.
Provide support to all clinics.
Ensure backup systems are functional at all time
Advise and recommend on the status of ICT Network, Security and Power assets (equipment).
Service ICT equipment based on AAR’s guidelines.
4. Maintain ICT Inventories and Equipment.
Prepare and provide an updated asset inventory and reconcile with fixed asset register.
Track movement of assets in the allocated clinic cluster and assets set for repairs.
Budget coordination, securing of budget information and communication of the budget.
Provide quality power to ICT Equipment to ensure safety and longevity of equipment.
Recommend upgrading of power system of AAR’s Clinics.
5. Any other duties as assigned by IT Manager
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure and security management.
Knowledge of network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
Experience with server and storage technologies, such as VMware.
Industrial Certification: CCNA ,CISSP ,CISA,COMP TIA Security+.
Working Conditions:
The IT Infrastructure and Security Officer typically works in all AAR Healthcare Centers and may be required to work outside of normal business hours to perform maintenance or respond to IT emergencies. The officer may also need to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
